The U.S. National Whitewater Center’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, during which the river and its channel are dyed a bright green, is back for its 10th year and expects crowds of over 12,000.

“After this crazy long winter we’re expecting some pretty high numbers,” Whitewater Center marketing associate Lex Ballard told the Agenda. “Especially since it won’t be raining Saturday.”

The all-day event is named Green River Revival, a play on the fact that water will literally turn green. “Water release begins at 10:30am so people should sign up now for family, adventure, or rodeo rafting in the green river.”

With activities like a trail run, yoga and live music, there’s plenty to do. Here’s what you need to know.

The festival is free.

As always there is a parking fee of $6, and certain activities – like Trail Run and Terrace Access Party – will have registration fees associated with them.

Rules: The normal set of festival and concert rules apply to the Green River Revival: No smoking, no outside food or beverage and no off-leash pets.

The all-day schedule is packed.

The water will turn “as green as a four leaf clover” at 1 p.m. and live music starts at 1:15 p.m. on the River Jam Stage.

Beer situation: The Whitewater Center has about 100 taps on site and beer and wine range from $6 to $12. “Guests can snag a beer at River’s Edge, The Market Bar, Outfitters, Trail Center, or Pump House Biergarten.”

Here’s a complete run down of the day’s schedule:

Keep in mind that some of the activities require registration as well as an additional fee.
