Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and develop the team responsible for ensuring Lowe’s omni-channel category pricing and exit strategies are implemented, measured and optimized through the use of strategic pricing and modeling tools and testing. This includes responsibility for driving the process to measure and monitor P&P strategies and tactics through the use of dashboards, visual analytics and score carding. This role will be responsible for achieving the financial targets that P&P has committed to for their assigned area of responsibility. They will also be responsible for project management across their team and ensuring that all timelines, project plans and key deliverables are tracked and completed in support of the pricing program and associated initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Leads a team of individual contributors responsible for using tools and capabilities to deliver competitive pricing recommendations across the full product lifecycle to their merchandising partners.
• Ensures that pricing and strategies are developed, implemented, measured and monitored effectively and efficiently through proprietary and third-party tools, including analysis and reporting.
• Hires, trains and develops the talent necessary to achieve stated objectives while providing meaningful development opportunities for individuals in preparation for succession planning.
• Develops and presents communications, frequently to senior leadership, that convey the right message in an effective way to the appropriate audience.
• Provides continuous and open feedback and mentorship to team members to encourage their growth, assist them in learning new tools, skills and techniques and take on greater responsibility.
• Collaborates with other Pricing, Promotions and Credit managers to create synergies between teams, share a cohesive vision and foster an environment of communication and collaboration.
• Examines and streamlines work flows and processes within the team to increase efficiency.
• Ensures their team meets the financial targets that P&P has committed to for their assigned area of responsibility.
• Aligns the team’s time and effort on projects that are critical to the success of pricing and enterprise strategies.
Education and experience:
Required
• H.S. Diploma in General Education and 7+ years experience in Merchandising, Data Analytics, Finance, Omni-channel Retailing or related pricing and promotion field.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, leadership with direct report responsibility, data elements or financial metrics analyses.
OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or related field and 5+ years experience in Merchandising, Data Analytics, Finance, Omni-channel Retailing or related pricing and promotion field.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, leadership with direct report responsibility, data elements or financial metrics analyses.
Preferred
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Category Management or related field and 3+ years experience in Price Management, Merchandising, Financial Planning and Analysis, Store Operations or Logistics.
• Experience as a Lead Merchant and/or Pricing Lead in an omni-channel retail environment. Experience working in cross-functional teams, leadership with direct report responsibility, data elements or financial metrics analyses.
