2017 was a pretty good year for Charlotte’s job market.
Mecklenburg County companies announced more than 13,000 jobs over the course of the year (the most since 2014), and made $819 million in capital investments. Both figures come from the Charlotte Chamber’s new growth report.
The Chamber’s list doesn’t capture everybody. LendingTree, for example, hired 170 new employees in Charlotte last year. But it provides a window into economic growth in the region.
