A food hub and neighborhood hangout is now open on a highly trafficked corner in Dilworth.
The People’s Market — an all-in-one coffee shop, food counter, bar and bottle shop — is located at 1315 East Boulevard in the sprawling space formerly occupied by 131 Main.
They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a deli counter, a full coffee bar and craft beer and wine.
Operating hours cover a generous span from as early as 7 a.m. to as late as midnight.
Monday – Thursday 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. – midnight
Saturday 8 a.m. – midnight
Sunday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The menu features sandwiches and salads as well as all-day breakfast options like biscuit sandwiches, French toast and breakfast burritos.
The Dilworth BLT ($7.99) with avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno and mayo on wheat bread was the runaway lunchtime hit with the Agenda crew.
Vegetarians and vegans will appreciate the availability of several animal-free options, including vegan doughnuts from Move That Dough Baking Co., a vegan burger and vegan sausage.

(Disregard the breakfast hours on the menu; it’s a typo and they serve all day.)
The People’s Market is an exciting addition to the Dilworth neighborhood and has huge potential.
The space itself is gorgeous — bright and open with tons of seating options and huge tables where you can post up for a work session. (You’ll definitely be seeing me.)
They’re working out some normal kinks that are expected in the first week of operation. The process of ordering and picking up food is a bit clunky and the wait time was substantial. But I didn’t see any issues that can’t be smoothed out as they find their rhythm.
As for parking, a big question on this block, we had no trouble at all finding a space in the building’s adjacent deck. Just stay out of any spots reserved for residents.
