Paralegal
Overview:
If you are the type of person who works well independently, understands personal accountability and wants a place where you can continue to grow in your career, then come find out why we continue to make the Best Places to Work list each year.
Yes, we do have a hammock room where you can take a quick nap, onsite employee fitness center, cafe with free snacks and beverages and a rooftop deck but that isn’t why you should work for us. We only hire the best and the brightest. If you are an A team player and you love being surrounded by people who work hard then this is the place for you.
We believe in the following values: honesty, respect, compassion, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and grow. We want people with those values as part of our team.
We have a great group of people who are hard-working, accountable and happy. We want more people like that here.
The job:
Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. but this position may require you to work 50-60 hours each week. Our billable hour requirement is 1500 hours a year. You should be prepared to put in extra hours when needed and the occasional weekend. This position is in our Gastonia office.
We work as a team in our office with each case assigned a paralegal, Associate Attorney and Supervising Attorney. Our law firm specializes in Family law and Divorce law.
We view paralegals as professionals. Our paralegals receive the same benefits and paid time off as our attorneys. There are no second-class citizens in our office. However, because of that we expect/demand that our paralegal team act like professionals. If you are looking to be micro-managed, lack accountability or can’t take constructive criticism don’t apply.
