If you get your nails done with any regularity, odds are you’ve got strong opinions about the best salon in town. But sometimes your favorite spot won’t deliver exactly what you’re looking for in every scenario.

My favorite nail salon, for example, is tiny and consistently packed. So if I’m in a bind and need to get in and out quickly, I need a backup. Here are 6 Charlotte nail salon suggestions for different scenarios.

I want to go to happy hour but also get my nails done at the same time.

Cachet SouthPark. It’s common practice for nail salons to offer patrons a complimentary glass of wine (or several), but Cachet kicks it up a notch with a full bar and signature cocktails at its SouthPark location.

Address: 4620 Piedmont Row, Suite 160, Charlotte NC 28210
Cost for a standard mani/pedi: $17 standard manicure, $27 standard pedicure
Can I tip on a card? No, cash only

I want hospital-grade sterilization.

The Foot & Body Boutique. This nail salon, founded by the team of podiatrists from Carmel Foot Specialists, is obsessed with doctor-approved cleanliness. That means autoclave sterilization, one-way piping in the chairs to avoid recycled water from another client (gross) and individualized client-specific files and brushes.

Address: 717 South Torrence Street, Charlotte NC 28204
Standard mani/pedi pricing: $25 express manicure, $40 express pedicure

I want a manly pedicure in a man cave.

AlphaMale Nail Care Services for Men. To be clear, men can get their nails done wherever they want, including all the other places on this list. But if you’re more comfortable in a men’s-only environment, AlphaMale is the place to be.

Address: 116 W. 4th Street, Charlotte NC 28281
Standard mani/pedi pricing: $20 express manicure, $35 express pedicure
Can I tip on a card? Yes.

I want all organic everything.

J’adore Nail Boutique. All of their standard services include organic polish remover, organic lavender buds and rose petals, organic lotion and organic coconut oil. From there, you can upgrade to the J’Adore full organic service ($64 manicure, $76 pedicure), which includes an aromatherapy bath soak with sea salt, organic raw sugar scrub, organic moisturizing mask, 15-minute hot stone massage with organic lotion and coconut oil and a paraffin wax dip.

Address: 220 North Pine Street, Charlotte NC 28202
Standard mani/pedi pricing: $22 De-base manicure, $34 De-base pedicure
Can I tip on a card? Yes.

I want something cheap and fast.

Polished. With several locations and tons of chairs at each, wait times are usually short to non-existent at Polished.

Address: 5 Charlotte-area locations; see all
Standard mani/pedi pricing: $15 basic manicure, $25 basic pedicure
Can I tip on a card? No, cash only.

I just want to escape the office — but not for too long.

The Daily Details. If you work Uptown, you can escape the office at this beauty bar inside Duke Energy Center that specializes in getting busy people “in, out and on the go.” The best part? You can book appointments online and check day-of availability for last-minute scheduling.

Address: Duke Energy Center, 550 South Tryon Street, Charlotte NC 28202
Standard mani/pedi pricing: $20 standard manicure, $30 standard pedicure
Can I tip on a card? Yes, but cash is preferred.

Did I miss your favorite nail salon? It’s probably for the best (and could be on purpose). I’ll take my personal top pick for all around best quality, service and price to the grave with me. It’s already crowded enough as it is.
